Description
Here is the ultimate sailing adventure for sea lovers, combining two staggeringly beautiful seascapes, Kleftiko and Polyaigos island, and an exhilarating encounter with a former pirates’ lair! This semi-private tour is specifically designed to include the two top sailing destinations of Milos, in one day, on a luxurious cruise along the east and south side of the island. If you are staying in Pollonia or Adamas, we will pick you up from your hotel, to set sail from Pollonia in the morning on a 47ft monohull sailing yacht, helmed by 2 English-speaking skippers.
Our first rendezvous is with the uninhabited island of Polyaigos to swim in its mesmerizing Blue Waters (and perhaps meet a few goats, the island’s only residents!). After Polyaigos, the boat will return to the coastline of Milos and sail along the mineral-rich east side, with a slow pass along the legendary Sulphur Mines of Milos, before arriving at your next secluded swim stop, Gerakas beach. With its soaring craggy white cliffs and transparent waters, Gerakas is one of Milos’ most dramatic beach settings.
Next, we will sail along the volcanic south coast of Milos to Kleftiko, perhaps the most photographed Milos landmark of all, but not without another stop at one of the most well-kept secrets of the Milos coastline, Katergo. Katergo is just a shot of ouzo away from Kleftiko, and it is a perfect location to marvel at the minerals and take another refreshing dip.Did you know that Kleftiko was an old pirates’ lair and is actually a complex of caves and small bays, with unbelievably bright blue waters? You’ll explore them for yourself, either by snorkelling or cave touring with the boat’s small rib boat.
After your unforgettable interlude in Kleftiko, the boat will sail back south for a final stop at Tsigrado beach, another impressive landmark beach, accessible by land only by using a ladder made from rope! Your sailing adventure draws to a close in Provatas, at approximately 18:30, after which we will transfer you back to your point of origin. Throughout the day, there will be plenty of refreshments onboard the boat (including wine and beer) and a home-made picnic lunch of local delicacies made from island produce, traditional cheeses and classic desserts such as koufeto or karpouzopita (the famous Milos watermelon pie!). We’ll provide the snorkeling equipment and beach towels too. Your only job is to relax and absorb every moment of this priceless sailing experience in spectacular Milos.
