Savor Ios culinary tradition in a private cooking class

Whether you’re a self-certified “foodie” or just a person who appreciates the art of eating, this experience will give you a deep flavour of the island’s culinary traditions. Our first stop is a small farm located in Mylopotas area. You’ll take a leisurely rove around the field to get a first-hand feel and a true taste of local cultivation. You will learn about the local production of Ios, while picking some locally produced vegetables, that you will use during your cooking class.

 

With your initial hunger craved, it’s time to get cooking. Put on your aprons and turn up the heat in a kitchen, run by a local restaurant cook. This knowledgeable and skilful lady, will guide you in creating a meal inspired by Ios culinary heritage, and as you wait for it to be prepared, she will tell you all you need to know about the gastronomic history of Ios.

 

Greek hospitality wouldn’t deserve to be called so, if you were left hungry; therefore don’t worry, if your cooking skills are not top notch, you will not get hungry, for there is a -course meal that follows your cooking class, accompanied by local wine. The recipes of the Cycladic dishes you prepared will be shared with you, so you will be able to recreate the flavours and aromas of Ios when you’re back home.
