Description
Let’s set sail together for the unknown beaches of beautiful Syros Island. First, we’ll stop to appreciate the chapel of Saint Stefanos, a poetic church tucked under a rock beside an expanse of brilliant blue sea. Next we’ll venture to Varvarousa beach, a lovely secluded spot ideal for those in search of tranquillity. The shelter of the sailors awaits us next: Grammata beach. This peaceful bay in the island’s north is heaven for chill-seekers.
Complete freedom will be yours to enjoy under the tamarisk trees that line the shore. The Greek sun, the Aegean Sea and perhaps some dolphins will be our only companions. Our last stop is Gria Spilia (Old Lady Cave). This lushly-landscaped beach at Apano Meria was created by the American economist John Pearson in a bid to beautify the more barren side of Syros. At this emerald oasis, we will unwind and luxuriate for the rest of the day; sunbathing and swimming. You’ll be given flippers and a diving mask to better explore the mesmerising waters.
Meanwhile, your captain will prepare a special Greek meal to enjoy of Greek salad, homemade pie and pasta with shrimps. Summer moments in Greece don’t come much better than this!
