Description
An extraordinary sailing experience demands an extraordinary boat. With her wooden deck and masts and attention-grabbing hull, you’ll be struck by the enviable romance of cruising the Aegean as soon as you set eyes on your “ride for the day”, moored in Piso Livadi. Your captain and your on-board hostess will warmly welcome you and ensure your comfort and well-being as they brief you on the boat’s set up, safety protocols and the plan for the day ahead. Now let’s set sail.
You’re in for a memorable moment as we deploy our sails and the swoop and hiss of the wind announces our yacht’s journey across the dazzling Aegean. We’ll make our way towards our first swim stop - Alimnia Bay on Heraklia island – while you sit back (or lie back!) and relish the Mediterranean sunshine and brochure-worthy landscapes as they glide slowly by. There’s space enough on-board for everyone to fully unwind and feel pampered by our sea-faring locals who love to share their favourite sights, stories and places with you; while offering you local refreshments and snacks on-board.
After two wonderful hours of sailing the Paros-Naxos Strait, we’ll drop anchor at Alimnia. This is your chance to leap into glassy waters and snorkel amid the remains of a WW2 fighter airplane; discovered by a fisherman in 1982. There’s no rush. At your leisure, we’ll continue our voyage around Heraklia’s magnificent southern coast. Untamed coves and sublime views will leave you gaping at nature’s bounty.
As we reach the virtually untouched shores of diamond-shaped Heraklia - between Ios and Naxos - you may also wonder if you have somehow disembarked into a pre-tourism past. Your local destination angel in Heraklia is waiting to escort you on a walking tour and fill your ears with colourful insights about this unique destination where pure and simple rhythms of life prevail.
Before we re-board our yacht, we will enjoy a laid back lunch at a traditional taverna. On our return to Paros, we will stop at the southernmost tip of Naxos to swim in the pristine waters of Agios Sostis, one of the island’s idyllic tucked away bays. The sunset beckons as we make our approach once more to Piso Livadi bay in Paros, replenished and restored by the power of simple pleasures amid majestic seascapes.
