Description
Explore the many delights of Kimolos by sea! Here is a perfectly designed experience for lovers of the Big Blue to circumnavigate a magical off-grid island on a private journey of discovery. Just grab a coffee, your local breakfast on board is waiting for you! We will set out south, with our first stop at Ellinika, the ancient city of Kimolos, drowned after a fierce earthquake during the Mycenaean period.
Swimming in its glassy waters, with the aid of a snorkelling mask, we can view houses, wells, and other relics that speak of the rich human history of this lost settlement. Your destination angel, a professional skipper, will share all the most interesting hidden spots and stories.
Expect to encounter all shades of blue as we drop anchor in dreamy bays, some accessible only by sea or walking trail; like Lakko, Mavrospilia, Dekas, Athinias and Agioklima: tranquil and unspoiled beauties ideal for a mellow midday siesta if you fancy it. Time to venture to Fidaki-Thermopigi, a natural jewel that gushes hot thermal water at 65 degrees Celsius! Next, we’re off to experience Gerakia, a complex of sea caves, Gambas cave with its legendary yellow water (due to the presence of sulphur) and Soufi (a protected sandy bay with lagoon-like waters). We’ll also admire pebbly coves dotted with monasteries and the small white chapel of Panagia.
Did you know that Kimolos has her own caldera? The so-called "Stou Geronikola ta Psila". The dramatic striated volcanic bluffs, separated by narrow sea channels, will enchant you. As will Prassa beach, prized for its glowing whitewashed sands of volcanic origin that paint the sea such an incredible colour. During our sail you shall enjoy different flavours in your lunch from the Cycladic islands, to complete your immersive experience. You can enjoy your favourite music by just bringing your usb stick!
