A CULTURAL AND CULINARY ADVENTURE IN NAXOS TOWN

Our next stop, Prombonas Distillery! With its main local product, the unique citrus liqueur, is housed in a private area, 5 minutes from the city center. It is a family business of 105 years of continuous operation. We will discover all stages of production, starting with an introduction over the qualities of the citrus fruit We will continue having a small stroll in the citrus garden and then the acquaintance with the distillery area.

 

There are the distillation machines and at the same time objects of the company are exhibited, dating from the beginning of its operation. By leaving the distillery, you will be experts, as you will get to know the whole production process up to bottling, which is carried out simultaneously in the area next door.

 

This experience cannot come to an end without a culinary tasting, not only of the citrus products but also of local sweet and savoury dishes, as long as ouzo and raki with citrus.
