Greeks enjoy a drink or two! When they are off-duty, always in moderation, and always in the company of tasty food! Be it a fried cheese saganaki or a local sausage with thyme to pair with their ouzo (a Greek aperitif gaining a lot of popularity worldwide) or a full 4-course menu served to you on one of the most beautiful verandas in the Aegean. Onion pie, fava the Greek houmous, grilled calamari, Mykonian mostra, Greek souvlaki are many among the Greek delights you will enjoy!
Onion pie or feta parcels, fava -the Greek houmous- or melitzanosalata or tirokafteri , grilled calamari, gigandes beans in fresh tomato sauce or the typical Sifnos chickpeas vegetarian stew , Mykonian mostra, Moussaka, Shrimps Saganaki, are many among the Greek delights you will enjoy!
This experience will leave you with a feast of inside stories about the refined Myconian cuisine (and Greek gastronomy in general), replete with terrific food and drinks. Bring your best appetite and celebrate with us the freshness of the ingredients as you watch them personally prepared by an experienced chef who also writes regularly for magazines and newspapers about Greek food. Your meal will include:
- Mezes served with ouzo on the rocks: saganaki, local sausage, olives with lemon and thyme, myconian louza (the local prosciutto) CC
(CC = means this dish will be part of the cooking class, hands on or off for those who would like to learn how to make it)
- An onion pie or feta parcels with honey
- The real Greek salad (the tricks of the pros revealed!) CC
- Myconian mostra: home baked rusks with the pungent local cheese Kopanisti, capers and fresh tomatoes
- Fava, the Greek hummus in two variations CC
- Grilled calamari on a bed of feta pesto orzo CC
- Yoghurt with local spoon sweet

- One glass of Santorini Assyrtiko wine and a glass of rose plus a shot of Mastiha to close off your meal

Know before you go
- If you are visiting Cycladic islands in the summertime, please note that it can get quite hot, especially between the end of June and the end of August. It is also common to have meltemi, strong north winds during the daytime
- It is important to know in advance if the guests have any food allergies/dietary requirements
